San Francisco, California (Issuewire.com)  - Passengers will truly be flying high if one man manages to replace airline peanuts with hemp seeds. Richard H. Davis of hemp-based snack company, Blue Sun Corporation, a fast-growing, innovative private start-up, has just created Honey Roasted Hemp Nuts, little packs of hemp seeds that taste similar to seasoned beer nuts. With recent talks of airlines possibly banning peanuts due to allergies, Davis is hoping to offer Hemp Nuts aboard airplanes as an alternative to the classic in-flight snack.

But don’t expect a bunch of stoners in the skies. Davis says the seeds don’t contain any of the active compounds found in marijuana, so you’d have to eat “many, many bags” to feel stoned. He also insists that the munchies don’t give you more munchies, but does admit Hemp Nuts “mellow people out,” so passengers may be able to relax and sleep better on flights. Davis is currently pitching the peanut substitute to Southwest and Alaska Airlines.

About MarthaStewardess.com

Martha Stewardess, is a fictional character based in San Francisco, Califorina, Martha is a 'seasoned' Flight Attendant, with more than a few miles under her wings. She lives an exciting and crazy life. “Flying frequently ~ for a living!” ~ Based in beautiful San Francisco, Martha is a well seasoned Flight Attendant for a major US airline. Although friendly service is an important job requirement, Martha works tirelessly maintaining a safe, stable, and secure environment while hosting hundreds of somewhat unstable, often insecure, and not-always-friendly passengers stuffed inside a metal tube hurtling through space at over 500 mph. Seems like a crazy life huh? It is. It’s Martha’s life, and she’s living it crazy. This is Martha’s fifth airline. For her, being a Flight Attendant is not so much a career as it is an addiction. How does she do it? “Like I put on my pantyhose, one leg at a time,” said Martha.

Honey Roasted Hemp Nuts and the proposed regulations that would restrict or even completely ban serving peanuts on commercial flights were mentioned on television programs running on CNN, CNBC, The Street TV, Fox News, Fox Business, NPR, The Dr. Phil Show, and The View.

Baja California, Mexico (Issuewire.com)  - Cerveceria MODO S.A. de C.V., is proud to announce today on this Cinco de Mayo national holiday the launch of ‘Mary Jane's Hemp Chips’. The new patent pending premium USDA certified organic stone ground hemp seed tortilla chips are being developed for manufacturing by Los Angeles-based Snak King and will initially retail for about "three dollars'' for an eight ounce bag in Mexican Restaurants and in the Supermarket produce section next to the guacamole and the fresh salsa.

Mary Jane's Hemp Chips are end-baked, all natural and have no cholesterol or trans fats, and are designed to satisfy your craving for a spicy Mexican food in a gourmet restaurant style tortilla chip. Mary Jane's Hemp Chips are in a new category as they’re the first and only tortilla-style chip made from hemp seeds instead of ground corn. This difference results in a more delicate “la hoja de mota'' flavor that’s irresistible straight out the bag or perfect when dipping guacamole and traditional salsas.

Each bag of Mary Jane's Hemp Chips contains golden triangular chips that are made from spicy seasoned hemp seed masa cooked in 100% hemp seed oil for the perfect crunch to satisfy that “Cinco de Mayo'' craving. Hemp seeds have strong nutritional credentials, containing 25-35% protein; fiber; the short chain omega-3 fatty acid ALA; plus a small amount of the lesser-known fatty acids gamma-linoleic acid (GLA), which has anti-inflammatory properties; and stearidonic acid (SDA), which the body converts into the heart-healthy longer chain fatty acid EPA more efficiently than it converts ALA.

“Don't bogart that bag of chips, my friend, pass it over to me,” joked Richard H. Davis, El presidente de Cervecería MODO S.A. de C.V. Located in TECATE, Baja California Norte, México. Davis says the hemp seeds don’t contain any of the active compounds found in marijuana, so you’d have to eat “many, many bags” to feel stoned. He also insists that the munchies don’t give you more munchies, but does admit his hemp chips “mellow people out,” Davis got the idea for the hemp chip while riding on the Tijuana Trolley in San Diego, California. Davis is a tortilla chip aficionado and knows the Good, the Bad and the Ugly, like an old “Sergio Leone” Spaghetti Western.
